About Greenery NYC
Greenery NYC is a botanic design company specializing in the integration of plant life into architecture and interior spaces. From thoughtfully designed plant installations to large-scale living walls and automated horticultural systems, we combine creativity, technology, and horticultural expertise to bring nature into the built environment.
We're a hands-on, fast-paced team that values curiosity, collaboration, problem-solving, and a willingness to roll up our sleeves.
About the role
We're looking for a Project Field Coordinator to join our installation and production team. You'll make sure every installation comes together on site: the right plants and planters, in the right place, at the right time.
This is a dynamic, full-time role for someone with excellent communication skills, strong organization, and a dedication to responsiveness. You'll report to our Project Manager and work closely with our executive and sales teams.
We're especially interested in someone who takes initiative, enjoys solving problems in the moment, and is happy to get hands-on, from loading the truck to placing the last plant.
What you'll do
Planning & Site Assessments
- Attend site assessments to evaluate site conditions before installations.
- Assist our Installation Superintendent and Project Manager with production coordination.
- Review and recommend plant substitutions as needed, based on availability and design intent.
- Track and report project expenses throughout each project.
Materials & Deliveries
- Receive plants, planters, and other hard-goods deliveries, and quality-check planters on arrival.
- Categorize, label, and organize materials for each project.
- Communicate clearly when project materials arrive, and flag any issues with them.
- Coordinate and organize deliveries to project sites, and help load and unload trucks.
On Site
- Receive deliveries on site and coordinate with movers so materials are placed correctly.
- Work with our designers and sales team on plant placement questions, so design intent is met in a way that's horticulturally sound and aesthetically aligned.
- Lead part-time Production Assistants on site with tasks specific to each project.
- Collaborate on project-specific needs, such as irrigation installations.
- Make sure all work is done safely, efficiently, and to our internal quality standards.
- Raise any concerns on site with the Project Manager.
Communication & Project Close
- Develop positive relationships with clients.
- Join weekly production meetings to update the team on project progress and upcoming needs.
- Provide detailed installation summaries and documentation at the close of each project.
What we're looking for
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least two years of professional work experience.
- Experience providing exceptional customer service.
- The ability to troubleshoot potential issues and explain problems clearly, with a solution-oriented mindset.
- The ability to juggle multiple projects and manage shifting priorities.
- Strong emotional intelligence and a passion for collaboration.
- A strong working knowledge of Google Workspace.
- The initiative to take on tasks, ask questions, and move work forward independently.
- An interest in tropical plants, architecture, interior design, and biophilic principles.
- The ability to meet the physical demands of installation work, including lifting, bending, and working on active job sites.
- Scheduling flexibility: after-hours and weekend work are regularly needed to support installation timelines and client schedules.
Why join Greenery NYC?
This is a chance to be where the work comes to life: on site, turning designs into finished installations alongside our designers, horticulturists, and installers. You'll be part of an award-winning team across three cities, bringing living plants, green walls, and biophilic design into the places people spend their days.
If you're organized, hands-on, and excited to help bring nature indoors, we'd love to hear from you.
